As an adult beginner on the flute I was rather apprehensive about how I would get on. My last piano lesson was 30 years ago! I needn't have worried. After only 7 months I feel I have made amazing progress and am thoroughly enjoying the lessons. Bhav explains everything clearly and patiently, and adapts her teaching to my particular strengths and weaknesses. Highly recommended!

Our daughter has been having a weekly lesson with Bhavi for a year now (first recorder and now flute). Bhavi has been an amazing teacher. We have a rather active 5 year old who is bright, but not always ready to listen. Bhavi has worked at our daughter's pace and adapted to her needs. Her lessons are fun and engaging and she is always looking forward to them. Bhavi's patience and understanding has proven to be a positive influence in our daughter's life.

I have now been taking flute lessons with Bhavandeep Stephenson for six months. I have enjoyed every single lesson immensely!
Bhav imparts her expert knowledge in a wonderfully sympthetic and empathic nature. She is thorough and patient. An aspect of her teaching that I enjoy most is the way she deals with problems or difficulties that I encounter. She is always prepared to help and explain anything over again, always ensuring that I understand fully what is expected of me.
She expects a high level of commitment and backs up her teaching by giving clear, precise instructions and demonstrations. Bhav always encourages me to give of my best with positive and reassuring comments.
Bhav is highly professional and I cannot sing her praises enough. I strongly recommend her as a teacher to anyone.

My daughter thoroughly enjoys her lessons with Bhavandeep who has given her an enthusiasm for the flute which wasn't there before with a mixture of exam preparation and playing duets for enjoyment. She is always punctual, communicates well with me and is friendly and polite. Bhavi goes the 'extra mile' for example accompanying my daughter in a school performance and arranging a piece to be played at a family celebration. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Bhavi as a flute teacher.

Bhavandeep has been teaching my daughter for 6 months. She started with the recorder and is now learning the 'adapted' flute. Bhav's patient and calm which gets the best out of her. Each lesson she progresses, she not just practices playing but develops her all round musical understanding from playing games to learn about rhythms, to composing as well as learning about music from different countries. My daughter loves her lessons. I cannot recommend Bhav highly enough.
