Bhavandeep Stephenson is currently working as a woodwind teacher and freelance flautist based in Hucclecote, Gloucestershire. She graduated with a BMus (Hons) degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) in Cardiff in July 2011, where she studied flute under Nicola Dowton and piccolo under Eva Stewart.

Bhavandeep is Principal Flautist with Cheltenham Philharmonic Orchestra and, as she loves playing all different genres of music, she has also previously played with The Film Orchestra, a few celidah bands and a jazz orchestra. She is also a member of Toadstone; a folk/prog rock band band.

Bhavandeep particularly enjoys chamber music. She currently plays with Serinus Trio; a flute and piano trio based in Gloucestershire. She has previously had the pleasure of playing in duos with guitar, clarinet and harp, and a wind quintet. She has also been privileged to play as a soloist with a number of talented pianists.

While at university, Bhavandeep played both flute and piccolo as part of RWCMD Symphony Orchestra and Wind Orchestra. In 2008, she played in a wind quintet as part of the Elgar Project in collaboration with the wind section of Welsh National Opera Orchestra. She has also participated in masterclasses with Philippa Davies, Ian Clarke and Sir James Galway.

Outside of her degree, Bhavandeep was involved in a wide variety of community and teaching outreach projects including 'Making Music Changing Lives', a charity music school, 'Mzansi Cymru', a dance/drama/music performance collaboration with Valleys Kids and Touch Trust, a creative therapy charity for those with complex disabilities and particularly autism.
